After retirement I spent a lot of time on my own working with friends and acquaintances on their careers and sharing with them some of the things I learned and a basic philosophy of life. I have had several distinct careers in my life and they were shaped by a variety of events. Probably the major event was a class in Outdoor Survival at Brigham Young University (now taught by BOSS). We spent 28 days in the wilds with a blanket and a pocket knife. I had to learn how to survive and how to make fire. It makes those TV survivor programs look like a luxury vacation. Below is a picture, save it, print it, cut out the cards and fold them in half, glue the halves together and seal them in plastic, carry them with you, look at them, follow the ideas expressed.
